Richmond, Va.– The Augustana swimming & diving team was one of 450 institutions named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2021 semester.
The Vikings' team GPA of 3.39 placed them on the list. The 34 Augustana student-athletes are part of a representation of 18,092 student-athletes honored by the CSCAA. The list includes both men's and women's teams from all three NCAA divisions along with the NAIA and NJCAA.
Greg Earhart, CSCAA Executive Director highlighted Augustana University's achievements noting, "Coach Micko continues to carry on the Vikings' history of success in the pool and classroom. These 34 women are some of the best ambassadors that Augustana and the NSIC could ask for."
Augustana, ranked No. 24 in the latest CSCAA Coaches' Poll, competes in the NSIC Championships beginning Wednesday, Feb. 9 and continuing through Saturday, Feb. 12 at the Midco Aquatics Center in Sioux Falls.
Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy and professional development.
