INDIANAPOLIS – The Augustana football team is one of 10 teams listed in the initial Super Region Four rankings announced Monday. The listing is alphabetical and labeled "under consideration" by the NCAA. The next set of rankings will have official rankings.

The top-seven teams in the final rankings advance to the NCAA Division II Playoffs beginning Nov. 19. The top overall seed earns a bye to Nov 26.

Augustana is 6-2 in 2022 and owns wins over Bemidji State and Wayne State who are also both under consideration. The Vikings next opponent, Winona State, is also listed as an under consideration foe.

Saturday's kickoff in Winona, Minnesota, is slated for 1 p.m. Augustana then returns home for Senior Day on Saturday, Nov. 5 while hosting Minnesota Duluth. The Viking seniors will be honored prior to the 1 p.m. start.

RMAC), the Lone Star Conference (
LSC) make up the 34-team NCAA Super Region Four this season.Â
The Division II Football Championship provides for a maximum field of 28 teams. Twelve (12) first-round games will be conducted on the campus of one of the competing institutions. The top seed in each selection region (super region) will receive a bye in the first round of the playoffs.Â
