BURNSVILLE – With 85 spring student-athletes named Academic All-NSIC the Augustana athletics' department has once again claimed the most NSIC All-Academic honors in the league. For the 2021-22 academic year, 245 Augustana student-athletes were named NSIC All-Academic while 167 of those student-athletes earned the distinction of NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence.
 
"What a great year it has been for Augustana athletics," Augustana Director of Athletics Josh Morton said. "Just a week after claiming the NSIC All-Sports Championship, we once again lead the conference in All-Academic honors. We take great pride in building champions in the classroom, in competition and in the community."

To be eligible for the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, a student-athlete must have a 3.60 cumulative GPA or higher, while NSIC All-Academic Team members must have a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher.

Additionally, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at her/his institution (true freshmen, red-shirt freshmen and ineligible athletic transfers are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.
