SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana football team saw two of its members named to the D2Football.com Elite 100 Watch List. Senior Eli Weber and junior Blake Larson earned their sports on the first team and second team, respectively.
 
Weber, the NSIC South Division Preseason Player of the Year, was one of four defensive backs named to the list. The Dawson, Minnesota, native started all 12 games last season while totaling 63 tackles and intercepting a pair of passes.
 
Larson, an NSIC South Division First Team honoree last year, earned his spot to the second team on the offensive line. Hailing from Brandon, South Dakota, Larson started all 12 games on the offensive line and went on to earn CCA All-Region honors and an honorable mention to the Don Hansen All-America team in 2021.
 
The duo are two of the four captains for Augustana in 2022, the NSIC Preseason favorites based on the NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll and D2Football.com preseason prognostications. The Vikings own national rankings from D2Football.com (No. 21) and the AFCA (No. 25). The 2022 seasons begins Thursday at Concordia-St. Paul with a 6:30 p.m. kickoff.
