Augustana Women’s Tennis Set for Conference Action in North Dakota

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana women's tennis team heads north to Bismarck, North Dakota, to face UMary and MSU Moorhead. The Vikings face the Dragons of MSU Moorhead at 4 p.m. on Saturday then take on the Mauraders of UMary on Sunday at noon. 

The Vikings
Augustana enters this weekend's contest with a 9-2 overall record and a 3-0 record in NSIC action. The women collected two victories last week over their Spring Break Trip in Orlando, Florida. The Vikings recorded a 4-1 win over Michigan Tech to begin the week and capped off the trip with a thrilling 4-3 victory against Embry-Riddle. 

Florentia Hadjigeorgiou has been a dominant presence in No. 1 singles action. Hadjigeorgiou is 8-2 in singles play and holds a regionally ranked opponent victory over Mckenna Livingston of Colorado Mesa. 

In doubles action, Laura Arce Vieyra and Emily Granson lead Augustana in dual victories with a 8-3 record in No. 3 doubles. 

The Dragons
MSU Moorhead enters this weekend with a 5-5 overall record and 1-2 record in NSIC action. The Dragons saw their last win back in February with a 4-3 victory over Gustavus Adolphus. In singles action, MSU Moorhead is led in wins by Shaelyn Johnson with a 5-3 record in No. 1 singles. Johnson is joined by Tia Dykema in No. 2 doubles action with a 4-2 record in dual action.

The Marauders
UMary enters this weekend with a 4-3 overall record and a 3-0 record in NSIC action. The Marauders collected their last victory on March 1, against Adrian College with a 5-2 win. Chloe Chong leads the Marauders in singles action with a 4-2 record in No. 1 singles play. Chong is joined by Ilona Freitag in No. 1 doubles play with a 6-1 overall record to lead UMary.
