SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana football team will be hosting its annual Spring Game on Saturday, April 29, at 1:30 p.m. The annual contest pits the offense against the defense. The contest is a way for the football team to give back to the community as well.
 
With admission being free, fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable canned good as a donation to support Feeding South Dakota.
 
In addition to the game and supporting Feeding South Dakota, the Augustana dance team will perform at halftime along with the introduction of the 2023 signing class. Lastly at halftime, what has grown into a team and fan favorite moment, the 2023 Captains will be unveiled.
 
The Spring Game will have four quarters of football with a 15-minute running clock each quarter. Field position changes will be dictated by play result or special teams. All drives that follow a touchdown or field goal will begin at the 25-yard line. At halftime, the Augustana spirit squads will have a special performance.
 
Scoring System for Spring Game
Offensive Scoring

• Run of greater than 10 yards – 1 point
• Pass of greater than 20 yards – 1 point
• Consecutive 1^st Downs = 1 point
• Field Goal = 3 points
• Touchdowns = 6 points
• Successful Point-After-Attempt = 1 point

 
Defensive Scoring

• Touchdown = 6 points
• PAT (defensive) – 1 point
• Turnover = 3 points
• Forced Punt = 1 point
• Sack/Tackle for loss = 1 point
