SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – In a whirlwind of a spring sports season, the Augustana softball team is set for four games in Minot, North Dakota, to face Minot State and UMary. On Friday, the Vikings will play a doubleheader with Minot State beginning at 10 a.m. On Saturday, the Vikings face UMary with a first pitch slated for 12:30 p.m.

The Beavers
Minot State is 16-12 in 2023 while sitting at 3-3 in the NSIC. Most recently, the Beavers are coming off a split with St. Cloud State, dropping a 20-3 game in game one and winning 3-1 in game two. Previously, Minot State was swept by Minnesota Duluth.

Paige Kellogg leads MSU with a .391 batting average while recording two doubles, two triples and two home runs. The two home runs lead Minot State. In the circle, Calley Olson is 6-1 with a 4.12 ERA. Reegan Floyd is 6-6 and just behind with a 4.34 ERA.

The Marauders
The University of Mary is 5-20 and has dropped seven-straight games while sitting at 0-6 in the NSIC. The Marauders most recently slipped up narrowly to Minnesota Duluth, 3-0 and 4-2.

Janelle Bergmann is the team's top hitter with a .357 average while four different hitters have recorded one home run. The top RBI leader is Francesca Villaneda with 14 on the season. In the circle, Nicole Eckhardt has the most wins with a 4-5 record with the lowest ERA at 5.33.

The Vikings
Augustana is 18-9 overall and 5-1 in the NSIC while having won 10-of-11 contests. The reigning NSIC Player of the Week,
Delaney Young, holds a .410 batting average with a .705 slugging percentage. She has recorded 25 RBI with 12 doubles, a triple and three home runs. The Vikings' power comes from the bat of
Kennedy Buckman with her 10 home runs.

Hailey Houston has found her groove as of late in the circle as she is 9-2 with a 2.45 ERA. Over her last six starts, she has given up just 11 runs while going 6-0. Not to be outdone,
Lexi Lander tossed a perfect game this past Sunday against Minnesota State while holding a 7-5 record with 51 strikeouts.

Augustana is set to host Sioux Falls at Bowden Field on Tuesday. The doubleheader, originally scheduled to be hosted by USF, is now set to be played on the Vikings' home field with AU showing as the visiting team on the scoreboard. First pitch is slated for 2 p.m.
