SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana hockey head coach
Garrett Raboin has announced two more games to the inaugural season schedule, including the first announced home contest. The Vikings will play a home-and-home with Omaha with the contest in Sioux Falls to take place Saturday, Nov. 25 in the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.
Â
On Friday, Nov. 24, the two squads will play in Baxter Arena, the home venue for the Mavericks in Omaha, Nebraska.
Â
Although the contest is the first announced home game for Augustana, it'll mark the third game to be played in the PREMIER Center for the Vikings. The home opener will take place Oct. 14-15 with a CCHA opponent to be announced.
Â
Omaha is a member of the NCHC and marks the third NCHC opponent on the Vikings' inaugural schedule joining contests at Denver (Oct. 27) and Colorado College (Oct. 28). The Mavericks last competed in the NCAA Tournament in 2021, their fourth appearance in the tournament and have sent 14 athletes to the NHL.
Â
After playing a short five-game home schedule in the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, the Vikings will drop the puck in their on-campus Midco Arena in mid-January with a back-loaded home schedule.
Â
Season tickets, which includes contests in both Midco Arena and Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, are now available for purchase. All Augustana Hockey season ticket holders are required to be members of the A-Club. Membership level determines how many hockey season tickets fans are able to purchase as well as where in Midco Arena they will be able to select their seats. A virtual seat selection will take place this summer. Fans can find more information on season tickets for hockey by visitingÂ
