ST. PAUL, MINN. – Following a key performance over that weekend that led to a pair of dominating series victories against the Omaha Mavericks, Leonid Bulgakov has been named the CCHA Forward of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

The sophomore from Minsk, Belarus helped lead the then-No. 15/17 Vikings to a home-and-home sweep of the Mavericks with his two goals alongside a +2 rating and six shots on goal. His two points both came in Saturday's matchup as Bulgakov scored in both the second and third periods to tie up the game after an early 2-0 deficit. The strong showing from the forward then perfectly set up AU's eventual 3-2 overtime win on the road, securing the sweep.

Augustana hockey returns to action this weekend as the Vikings head out to take on a road series against Ohio State on Friday and Saturday.
