BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Augustana's Morgan Keirstead and T.J. Liggett have been named NSIC Honor Student-Athletes as part of the league's Britton/Kelly Awards announced Wednesday. Keirstead completed her final campaign with the Augustana soccer team while Liggett concluded his final season with Viking football.

NSIC members nominate one female and one male student-athlete for the Britton/Kelly Awards and come from a criteria of a grade point average of 3.5 or better, evidence of academic excellence beyond the minimum GPA (scholarship prizes and other academic recognition), evidence of participation in the life of the institution, and evidence of participation in at least two-thirds of the varsity events of the individual's primary sport.

A native of Savage, Minnesota, Keirstead started all 20 games during her graduate season with AU, scoring seven goals and dishing five assists. Combining her athletic and academic abilities, she was named to the CSC (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-America Team this past fall while also earning NSIC First Team All-Conference accolades.

She concluded her career having seen action in 82 games for AU, scoring 21 goals and recording 55 points with her 13 assists. Nine of her goals were game-winning goals.
