LAKE CITY, Minn. – The Augustana men's golf team placed seventh Tuesday at the Watkins Invitational hosted by Winona State. The host squad prevailed on its home course in Lake City, Minnesota, with a 13-under-par score as part of its victory.

How It Happened
- For the second tournament this year, Emmet Hansen led AU as he shot 2-under-par with 142 strokes. His 67 in round two is the lowest score a Viking has shot since the 2016-17 season. He finished in a tie for seventh.
- Will Allen placed in a tie for 17th at 1-over-par with scores of 69-76.
- Jacob Stewart was steady with a 74 and even-par 72 to finish in a tie for 23rd.
- Cullen Johnson and Zach Stanz placed tied for 57th and 62nd, respectively.
- AU finished its lineup with Chase McDonald and Jordan Slagle tying one another for a tie for 84th.

The Vikings compete locally next time out as they are in Larchwood, Iowa, for the USF Invitational. Round one will begin Monday, Oct. 9 with round two to follow Tuesday.
