BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – The Augustana women's golf team opened 2023-24 with a victory in a 17-team field concluding Wednesday. The Vikings, competing at the Central Region Fall Preview, shot past 16 other school to claim the victory in Blue Springs, Missouri.
 
Full standings were not available at the time of writing, however, Augustana totaled 601 shots over the two rounds to bypass Northeastern State by seven strokes.
 
Masy Mock led the way for Augustana with 150 strokes, including a 73 in the opening round. Molly Stevens and Shannon McCormick each recorded scores of 151 while Lauren Tims checked in with 152 stokes. Keeping the team in pack formation, Lanie Veenedall shot a 153.

Augustana is back in action Sept. 25-26 at the NCAA Central Regional preview in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
