The Beavers
BSU is coming off a bye week after facing CCHA opponent Michigan Tech, where the Beavers dropped a Friday, Jan. 19 game by a score of 2-1 before claiming a shootout win on Saturday, Jan. 20 where the score read 2-2.
Lleyton Roed leads the Beavers with 24 points by way of 12 goals and 12 assists. Roed, a sophomore forward is joined by Kyle Looft with 19 points and Eric Martin with 15 points.
Bemidji State has leaned on two goalies throughout the season as Mattias Shool and Gavin Enright have shared time between the pipes. Shool, holds a 3.17 goals-against average in 11 games played while Enright has seen time in 14 games played.
The Vikings
AU is coming off a historic weekend as it opened Midco Arena on Friday, Jan. 26, and Saturday, Jan. 27 in front of back-to-back sold-out crowds.
Luke Mobley scored the first Viking hockey goal in Midco Arena on Friday's 5-2 loss to Ferris State. Mobley leads the team with 10 goals. Goaltender
Zack Rose tallied the first goalie point in program history on Mobley's Friday goal.
Arnaud Vachon and
Ryan Naumovski have been pinned as Hobey Baker Memorial Award Nominees, announced on Friday, Jan. 26. The fifth-year duo is joined by 84 other student-athletes.
Will Howard scored the opening goal on Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to Ferris State. The freshman forward has netted two goals in the last six games. Howard joined Augustana after an impressive junior campaign with the New Mexico Ice Wolves of the NAHL where he tallied 100 points over three seasons.
One Last Thing
Naumovski is currently two points away from 100 career points. Naumovski leads the Vikings with 18 points.
