ST. PAUL, Minn. – Joey DelGreco of Augustana hockey has been named CCHA Rookie of the Week after his three-point weekend against Bemidji State, announced by the league Monday afternoon. DelGreco is the second Viking named Rookie of the Week this season. 

DelGreco exploded for a three-point weekend in Augustana's weekend split against CCHA foe Bemidji State. In Friday's 4-3 overtime loss, DelGreco scored Augustana's second goal after he deked through a Beaver's defensemen and fired it past Mattias Shool's glove. 

In Saturday's 5-1 win, DelGreco netted the eventual game-winner in the second period on the power play after assisting on Colton Friesen's goal earlier in the game. The Grand Rapids, Minnesota native was named Augustana's Silverstar Star of the Game. 

DelGreco played two seasons of junior hockey with the Wichita Falls Warriors of the NAHL and with the Chicago Steel in the USHL. The Grand Rapids, Minnesota native was named the league MVP, Rookie of the Year and was a Robertson Cup Champion during his time with the Warriors.
