SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana hockey team heads to Plymouth, Michigan for a pair of exhibition games against the United States National Team Development Program on Friday and Saturday. It'll be the second time in history that Augustana will face the development program.

The development program hosts Augustana with a 1-7 record against college opponents. The under-18s most recently played in the under-18 five nations tournament where they scored three wins and one loss. USA defeated Sweden in overtime, 3-2, fell to Finalnd, 6-5 and bounced back with dominating wins over Czechia and Switzerland.
The development program has 408 NHL Draft Picks with five first-overall picks, NHL prominent players who have gone first-overall include Jack Hughes, Auston Matthews, Patrick Kane, Erik Johnson, and Rick DiPietro.
The Vikings
Augustana (5-5, 2-2 CCHA) comes into the weekend after it split with Bemidji State on home ice last weekend. The Vikings dropped Friday nights game 4-3 in overtime before they bounced back with a 5-1 win on Saturday.
Joey DelGreco was named CCHA Rookie of the Week, announced by the league on Monday afternoon. DelGreco recorded two goals and one assists, including his first career multi-point night in Saturday's win. DelGreco played two seasons of junior hockey with the Wichita Falls Warriors of the NAHL and with the Chicago Steel in the USHL. The Grand Rapids, Minnesota native was named the league MVP, Rookie of the Year and was a Robertson Cup Champion during his time with the Warriors.
Tyler Hennen joined the party with back-to-back goals over the weekend as he pushed his season point total to five by way of three goals and two assists.
