SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana hockey team (5-5, 2-2 CCHA) travels to Big Rapids, Michigan to face Ferris State (3-9-2, 2-6 CCHA) in a weekend CCHA series. The action kicks off on Friday and concludes on Saturday.

The weekend CCHA series begins on Friday at 6:07 p.m. (cst.) and concludes on Saturday at 5:07 p.m. (cst.). The games will be streamed on Midco Sports Plus through CCHA TV.
Series History
This will be the second weekend series between Augustana and Ferris State in the Vikings' short history. Augustana opened up Midco Arena against Ferris State last season, where the Bulldogs spoiled Augustana's opening weekend with back-to-back wins by scores of 5-2 and 4-3 (OT).
The Bulldogs
Bob Daniels is leading Ferris State in his 33rd season. He has accumulated a record of 500-614-116 and notched his 500th career win last Saturday in the Bulldogs' 3-2 win over Lake Superior State.
Max Itagaki leads Ferris State in points through two goals and six assists. Cole Burtch joins Itagaki with seven points and Caiden Gault with six. The Bulldogs have scored 26 goals through 14 games, with half coming in the second period.
Defenseman Trevor Taulien spent a week over the summer with the Detroit Red Wings at its Development Camp.
The Vikings
Augustana's turnaround is quick as it travels to Big Rapids, Michigan, on Wednesday. Last weekend, it traveled to Plymouth, Michigan, to face the United States National Team Development Program in an exhibition play. Augustana swept the USNTDP by scores of 4-1 and 3-2.

Taylor Nelson played under Ferris State's Bob Daniels from 2008-12. In his time with the Bulldogs, Nelson recorded a career record of 35-20-10 and helped lead Ferris State to the 2011-12 Frozen Four.
