BURNSVILLE, Minn. – The Augustana athletics department has once again placed the most student-athletes on the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Fall All-Academic teams. Viking student-athletes tallied 105 spots on the teams with nearly half earning the distinction of NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence.
 
"This list of 105 Viking athletes is reflective of the excellence of Augustana," said Josh Morton, "As we aim to reclaim the NSIC All-Sports Award, it's important to note that we lead the league in All-Academic honorees as well as the competitive side."
 
To be eligible for the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, a student-athlete must have a 3.60 cumulative GPA or higher, while NSIC All-Academic Team members must have a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher.
 
Additionally, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at her/his institution (true freshmen, red-shirt freshmen and ineligible athletic transfers are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.
