The Lakers

Junior forward Jared Westcott leads the Lakers with 29 points by way of 15 goals and 14 assists. Westcott has recorded 42 points through 65 career games with LSSU and has been named CCHA Forward of the Week twice this season.
Ethan Langenegger has maned the pipes for LSSU through 26 games, holding a 2.98 goals against average and a .904 save percentage. Langenegger was awarded CCHA Goaltender of the Week after sweeping Bemidji State on Nov. 3-4.
The Vikings
Augustana collected its first win inside Midco Arena on Friday, Feb. 9 against St. Thomas by a score of 4-2. After falling behind 1-0 through two periods,
Evan McIntyre,
Chase Brand, and
Uula Ruikka exploded Augustana's offense to a 3-1 lead midway through the third. UST brought the game to within one but
Brady Ziemer potted an empty net goal to secure the 4-2 win.
In Saturday's Feb. 10 win over the Tommies,
Callum Gau opened up the game up early with a shot from the point. The game raged on as St. Thomas tied the game at 1-1 in the second. Both teams jockeyed for offensive momentum but the game had to be decided in overtime. Captain
Arnaud Vachon called the game as he dished the puck up to
Owen Bohn for a give-and-go play, Vachon broke free for a breakaway and put the rubber top shelf for the overtime win.
Augustana makes its third trip to Michigan's Upper Peninsula this season. Earlier this year, the Vikings took their first trip in early November, losing 6-4 and 4-3 in overtime against Michigan Tech. In its second trip in early December, AU tied Northern Michigan 2-2 and won 5-3.
One Last Thing
Augustana is coming off its second weekend sweep of the season, beating St. Thomas last weekend by scores of 4-2 and 2-1. The last time the Vikings swept was against CCHA foe Bowling Green.
