MARSHALL, Texas – The No. 13 Augustana acrobatics and tumbling team closed its trip in Texas Monday evening by setting a meet record in the win at East Texas Baptist University, 268.270-224.395. The Vikings won the compulsory event with a score of 37.100 and never looked back.

AU broke two program records, totaling 95.520 points in the team event which was part of the school record 268.270 in the competition. In addition, AU had the second-best scores in program history in two events. The Vikings won all six events and 19 heats.Â

"I'm proud of the athletes today for not only breaking a total record but also individual heat records. I could not have asked for more from them. I think what helped us was some fuel from the meet on Saturday. We had some mistakes and today we came in with a new confidence and were able to reach new heights."
