SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana softball team takes to the road for the first time in April as it plays at Bemidji State on Saturday and at Minnesota Crookston on Sunday. The Vikings doubleheader with the Beavers has a 1 p.m. first pitch while the contests with the Golden Eagles begin at noon.

About the Beavers
Bemidji State is 9-28 on the season with a 3-11 mark within the NSIC. The three wins are a sweep of Southwest Minnesota State and a 3-2 12-inning win against St. Cloud State on Wednesday. In that game with the Huskies, Stella Dolan pitched 10 innings in the no decision, giving up two runs and striking out 12.

For the year, Alexa Christenson owns the squad's highest batting average at .355 with 44 hits. BSU's lone home run is off the bat of Mariah Stevenson. Dolan is the top pitcher with a 4.01 ERA and 6-13 record. She has struck out 91 batters in 146.2 innings pitched.

About the Golden Eagles
Minnesota Crookston holds a 9-29 record in 2024 with a 2-12 record in the NSIC. UMC earned its two NSIC wins against Sioux Falls, 6-4, and Winona State, 5-2. Most recently, Minnesota Crookston fell 8-0 and 9-2 to Minnesota Duluth.

Whitnee Curry is the Golden Eagles' top hitter with a .311 average. The power comes from Shaelyn Grant and her eight home runs with 23 RBI. Alexa Guilford and Thayda Houser co-lead the team with three wins each in the circle while Guilford has the edge in ERA at 4.15.

About the Vikings
Augustana, winners of 12-straight games, is 30-13 overall and 15-1 in the NSIC. The Vikings are coming off a sweep of Sioux Falls on Wednesday by scores of 8-0 and 12-1. Led by three-time NSIC Pitcher of the Week,
Grace Glanzer pitched a perfect game enroute to the 8-0 win.

For the season, Glanzer is 14-3 in the circle with a nation's best .66 WHIP. Her 0.75 ERA. Her 3.60 hits allowed per seven innings ranks her second in the country. In the batter's box, Ashton Dorm continues to lead the way for AU with a .402 average while
Torri Chute continues her team-lead with 13 home runs.

As a team, Augustana ranks fifth nationally with 88 doubles and ninth in the nation with 397 hits.

Following the road trip, Augustana is back on its home field of Bowden Field on Tuesday with a doubleheader under the lights at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
