Men’s Tennis Set to Celebrate Senior Day

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana men's tennis is set to hit the road for a Saturday morning match against MIAA opponent Northwest Missouri State before returning home to celebrate senior day Sunday afternoon against Mount Marty. 

Saturday's match against the Bearcats is scheduled for 10 a.m. with Sunday's home affair at Huether Match Pointe slated for 2 p.m.

About the Bearcats
The 11-6 Bearcats have won six of their last eight matches with big wins over Southeastern Oklahoma State and Cameron coming into the weekend. 

Senior Andrea Zamurri is ranked No. 18 in the nation in singles with a 19-5 record. Zamurri and Vini Rodrigues are ranked No. 32 in the country in doubles with an 8-1 record. 

About the Lancers
Mount Marty holds a 10-3 record this spring with big wins over Midland and Hastings in the past three weeks. 

The Lancers will look to lean on its young core going into the weekend. 

About the Vikings
Augustana comes into the weekend with a 5-9 overall record. No. 1 singles Henry Dornbusch holds an overall record of 9-4 and is on a three match win streak. Dornbusch also holds an 8-6 doubles record with teammate Thomas Kano

Kano has played a majority of the season from the No. 2 slot and carries a record of 3-11 against top notch competition. 

The Vikings have scored big wins throughout the season, beating Dallas Baptist 4-3 during their spring break trip in Flordia.
