SMITHVILLE, Mo. – Augustana women's golf leads the way on day one of the NSIC Championships. With a combined score of 300, the Vikings hold a five-stroke lead going into Saturday. Lauren Tims leads the tournament with a stroke count of 71.

  • Shannon McCormick sits third in the tournament after shooting a round of 74. McCormick dropped in 13 pars. 
  • Lanie Veenendall is tied for ninth with a stroke count of 77. Veenendall leads the tournament in pars with 14. 
  • Mattie Weidenbach shot a round of 78 for a tie for 11th and Molly Stevens closed out the Viking finishers in a tie for 13th with a stroke count of 79. 
  • Augustana leads the tournament on average stroke counts on Par-3s, Par-4s and Par-5s. 
  • The Vikings dropped in a tournament-high 10 birdies on day one.
