SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana women's tennis gears up for a senior day affair this weekend with a Sunday NSIC matchup against UMary. The Vikings will play MSU Moorhead on Saturday before the senior day celebration. Both matches will be played at Huether Match Pointe with Saturday's contest set for 2:30 and Sunday's senior celebration set for 9:00 a.m.
Augustana comes into the weekend with an 11-3 overall record and a 5-0 record in conference play. The Vikings have garnered wins over No. 15 Nebraska Kearny and then No. 7 Lubbock Christian this season.
The Dragons
MSU Moorhead comes into the weekend with a 6-6 overall record with big wins over Winona State, St. Catherine and Minnesota Duluth. Senior Shaelyn Johnson has pulled together a 7-8 record with singles wins and is coming off a 6-4, 6-3 win over Minnesota Duluth.
Johnson has also pulled together a 7-3 doubles record with teammate Luzmary Diaz Castillo.
The Marauders
UMary comes into the weekend with a 4-0 record in NSIC action led by sophomores Maria Estinvil and Hala Hossam Awad with 5-3 singles records.
UMary pulled together a 7-0 win over Minnesota Duluth on Saturday, March 23.
The Vikings
Augustana will look to continue its strong season going into the weekend. The Vikings are led by No. 1 Singles
Florentia Hadjigeorgiou who is ranked 13th in the nation. Hadjigeorgiou holds an 8-3 record in singles play.
No. 2 singles athlete
Senem Ocal sits 12-2 on the season with strong wins over ranked teams. Ocal is 8-3 in doubles play.
Augustana's momentum continues throughout the courts with multiple Vikings holding strong records in singles and doubles play.
