SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana softball makes its way down to Orlando, Florida for the NCAA DII National Championship held May 19-25. The 50-13 Vikings were selected as the seventh seed headed into the week and will face second-seeded UT Tyler in their first match on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. (CST).
The 2024 DII softball championship will be played at Boombah-Soldiers Creek Park in Longwood, Florida.

The Vikings
Augustana has been red hot coming into the week, riding a 32-game winning streak. The Vikings streak is the longest winning streak in DII by 26 games. Augustana is the only team in the field to have previously won a national championship, winning its first in 1991 and its second in 2019. On its route to the national championship, Augustana knocked off No. 5 nationally and No. 1 regionally Pittsburg State and continued its momentum to sweep 2022 national champions, Rogers State in the super regionals.
The Vikings have garnered multiple honors this season,
Gracey Brink was named NSIC Player of the Year and
Grace Glanzer was named NSIC Pitcher and Newcomer of the Year.

Stella Harber,
Lexi Lander, Brink and Glanzer all earned NSIC All-Conference honors.
Chute, Glanzer, Brink and Cain were all named D2CCA All-Central Region with Glanzer being recognized as D2CCA Pitcher of the Year. The NFCA also named Brink, Glanzer, Cuevas, Buckman and Chute with All-Region honors. Last week, Cuevas was named an NFCA Freshman of the Year finalist.
Augustana as a team has a batting average of .348 with an OPS of .984. The Vikings has combined for 403 runs and 87 home runs with a slugging percentage of .577. AU holds an ERA of 1.68 with Glanzer leading the squad with .62.
In Central Region 1 and Super Regional play, Augustana outscored its opponents 26-6 and homered five times in five games.
