Stevens Named Golfer of the Year; Three Vikings Garner First Team Honors

BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Molly Stevens of Augustana women's golf was named NSIC Golfer of the Year and joined Lauren Tims and Lanie Veenendall with First Team Honors, announced by the conference Friday morning.

- Named NSIC Golfer of the Year for the third season in a row
- Named First Team All-NSIC for the third season in a row
- Earned NSIC All-Tournament honors for the third season in a row
- Tied for third at the NSIC Championships with a three-round total of 229, 13-over-par
- Helped Augustana to its fourth straight and 13th overall NSIC Championship
- Holds a 75.3 stroke average over 25 rounds of play, best in the NSIC
- Had nine top-10 finishes, eight top-5 and two medalist honors during the season
- Qualified for the NCAA National Championship as an individual after finishing fifth at the regional event

Tims and Veenendall joined Stevens on the first team with impressive campaigns of their own. Tims finished the regional championships with a stroke count of 240 and also helped the Vikings win their fourth consecutive NSIC Championship with a second-place individual score of 223. Veenendall finished fifth in the NSIC Championships with a stroke count of 231 and tallied 35 pars throughout the tournament. 

Stevens takes part in the DII National Championships set for May 21-25 at the Orange County National Golf Center in Orlando, Florida.
