EMPORIA, Kan. – Andrew Martens and Ryan Hartman of Augustana track and field finished as First Team All-America honorees on Saturday afternoon's final day of the National Championships held on Emporia State's campus.

Martens blazed to a fourth-place finish in the men's 110m hurdle finals with a time of 13.83 from lane six. His fourth-place finish made him First Team All-America. Marten's finish is also an improvement from last season, where he finished fifth.

Hartman cruised into an eighth-place finish in the men's 5000m run with a time of 14:50.11 which helped him garner First Team All-America in a stacked field of athletes. Hartman's finish was a big improvement from last year.

Bryn Greenwaldt also competed on the national stage in the women's long jump, finishing 20th.

Director of Cross Country and Track and Field, Tracy Hellman
"It was a great finish for our teams at the NCAA Championships. Coming home with three All-American awards was very exciting.  Looking back, we have had an outstanding season and the coaching staff is super proud of all the athletes. We gained valuable experience and will be back and ready to do great things with both teams. As always, it's a great day to be a Viking!"
