SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana hockey team (13-7-2, 5-3 CCHA) returns to conference play this Friday and Saturday as it travels to Bowling Green, Ohio to face Bowling Green (12-8-3, 8-5-3 CCHA) in a pivotal conference affair.

Series History
Augustana secured its first win and weekend sweep last season against Bowling Green in its first home series in program history. The Vikings tallied a 3-2 win in its first meeting and concluded the weekend with a 4-1 win. Augustana holds a record of 2-0 against the Falcons.
The Falcons
Bowling Green holds a record of 6-2-2 on home ice with wins over Robert Morris, Ferris State, Northern Michigan, RIT and Bemidji State. After a weekend split with Ferris State, BGSU sits third in the CCHA standings.
Ryan O'Hara leads the Orange and Brown with 22 points by way of seven goals and 15 assists. O'Hara is joined by Brody Waters with 19 points.
Bowling Green announced the hiring of head coach Dennis Williams back in March of 2024. Williams, a BGSU alum was the interim head coach back in the 2009-10 season.
The Vikings
Augustana returns to conference play after a lengthy break, the Vikings currently sit second in the standings with a points percentage of .667. Augustana comes into the weekend after it recorded a win and tie against Lindenwood last weekend. The Vikings won 3-2 on Friday and tied the Lions 1-1.
Garret Drotts and
Will Svenddal recorded their first career goals against Lindenwood. Drotts netted his first as a game-winner on Friday, Jan. 17, 3-2 win over the Lions while Svenddal added Augustana's lone goal in the Vikings' 1-1 tie on Saturday, Jan. 18.
The Vikings have scored 62 goals this season for an average of 2.9 per game. Of the 62 goals, 11 have come on the power play.
Hayden Hennen leads the Vikings in blocked shots with 41.
Brady Ziemer follows behind with 38 and Svenddal with 21.
