SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana hockey team (5-3, 2-2 CCHA) recorded three unanswered goals in the third period Saturday night to complete the weekend sweep over Northern Michigan (0-10, 0-2 CCHA).
The Vikings controlled a majority of possession in the opening 10 minutes of action before
Quinn Rudrud was hit with a two-minute minor. During Northern's man-advantage, Augustana's penalty kill was lights out and denied multiple offensive chances. The Vikings edged out the Wildcats in shots on goal, 11-7.
NMU opened up the second period with momentum and found the back of the net early as Tobias Pitka buried a rebound for his third of the season. The Wildcats tilted the ice in their favor and quickly outworked the Vikings as they garnered 24 shots on goal.

Hayden Hennen fired a shot from the blueline and found
Cole Burtch's stick to tie the game, 1-1, with his second of the season. Six minutes later,
Leo Bulgakov picked up a rebound from
Landon Fandel's shot and fired in his third of the season and second of the weekend to give Augustana a one-goal advantage. The Vikings continued to apply pressure in the opening 10 minutes of the frame as Joey Delgreco found the back of the net for his second of the season and delivered the final dagger to complete the weekend sweep.
