GOODYEAR, Ariz. – The Augustana men's golf team concluded its first tournament of the Spring season on Tuesday afternoon. The Vikings finished in a tie for sixth place with team b placing 13th. The Maverick Desert Classic was held at Palm Valley Golf Course and included 14 teams.

How it Happened
- Emmet Hansen finished with the highest score for Augustana with a stroke count of 146 after he shot rounds of 69 and 77. He secured nine birdies over the course of two days and finished 16th overall.
- Jacob Stewart tallied rounds of 74 and 73 for a total count of 147 and finished 21st. Stewart jumped three spots in day two. He totaled four birdies on day one.
- After jumping five spots on day two, Will Allen finished in 32nd with a stroke count of 150. He secured rounds of 75 and 75.
- Kaiden Brovold finished fourth on team "a" with a total stroke count of 151 with rounds of 76 and 75.
- Henry Hartquist finished out the first group with a total stroke count of 153.
- Jimmy Mendel scored the lowest stroke count of team "b" with 41st place visit. He secured rounds of 75 and 77.
- Blake Northagen tallied a stroke count of 156 with back-to-back rounds of 78.
- Jackson Skuodas finished in 59th with a score of 156.
- Zachary Stanz and Chase McDonald closed out the week with scores of 158 and 164.
