3/13/2025 5:00:00 PM

BOX SCORE 1 | BOX SCORE 2 BRANSON, Mo. – The No. 8 Augustana Vikings wrapped up competition in Missouri with back-to-back wins at the Spring Break Games, defeating No. 20 McKendree, 3-2, and Missouri S&T, 5-0, on Thursday afternoon.

GAME ONE: No. 8 Augustana 3, No. 20 McKendree 2
Fending off a late comeback attempt from the Bearcats, the Vikings kicked off the day with a ranked 3-2 win over McKendree.

Ella Cooper singled and stole second base in the top of the second and, when followed by singles from Stella Harber and Briana Lee, scored the first run of the day. The Vikings held the 1-0 lead until Andrea Cain smoked a homerun in the first at-bat of the third inning to go up 2-0.

McKendree responded with a run in the bottom of the fourth, but a double from Cain and a sacrifice fly from Desi Cuevas scored Liz Dierks to push it 3-1. The Bearcats would score again in the bottom of the seventh, but would get no closer as AU took the 3-2 win.

Cain, Harber and Dierks all went 2-for-3 from the plate as Cain, Cuevas and Lee all logged an RBI. Norah Christiansen also tallied three assists in the game. Grace Glanzer (8-3) claimed the win in the circle as she struck out six batters and allowed two runs in her seven innings of work.

GAME TWO: No. 8 Augustana 5, Missouri S&T 0
The Vikings ended Thursday action with a shutout victory over the Miners, claiming a convincing 5-0 win.
