INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Augustana track and field wrapped up day one of action at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships with three athletes competing in two different events as pentathlon action concluded and
Ryan Hartman's journey continues.
Competition started for the Vikings in the pentathlon, where
Maria Pedroso finished 10
th with a PR of 3729 points and
Kylee Sallee took 13
th with 3588 points for a personal best.
Pedroso's highest placement came in the high jump, where she finished third, while Sallee took third in long jump.
In the men's mile run prelim, Hartman clocked a 4:07.78, missing out on event finals qualification. But, following a successful protest on a tripping incident, Hartman was advanced and will compete in the finals at 4 p.m. CT on Saturday.
Action resumes tomorrow with
Andrew Martens competing in the men's 60-meter hurdle prelims at approximately 3:30 p.m. CT.
