BURNSVILLE, Minn. - The NSIC Champion Augustana women's swimming and diving team was well represented with end of season awards, the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon. Bryn Greenwaldt was named the NSIC Swimmer of the Year for the third consecutive year while Andrew Makepeace was named both the Swimming and Diving Coach of the Year.

Greenwaldt, a junior from Foley, Minnesota, became the first National Champion in program history in the 50 Free, breaking a national record at 21.92 in the prelim before zooming to a 22.09 finish in the final. She completed the NCAA Championships with five swim All-America honors (50 Free, 100 Free, 100 Back, 200 Free Relay, 200 Medley Relay). Prior to that, Greenwaldt dominated the conference, becoming an NSIC Champion and record holder in the 50 Free, 100 Back, 200 Medley Relay and 400 Medley Relay while also winning in the 200 Back and 400 Free Relay. She was a five-time NSIC Athlete of the Week throughout the season.

In his second year at the helm, Makepeace took on double duty for the first time and made the most of it. He led the Vikings to their third consecutive NSIC title and coached the first National Champion in program history while earning a 12th place team finish. He coached six All-America swim events and earned his first NSIC Swimming Coach of the Year honor.

On the boards, Makepeace coached Avery Lommel and Kate Robbins to the top two spots in the 1M Dive at the NSIC Championships. He also had Lommel win the 3M Dive at the NSIC Championships. Both Lommel and Robbins qualified for the NCAA Championships, where Lommel earned an All-American performance and ninth place finish in the 1M Dive at the NCAA Championships. It is also his first Diving Coach of the Year Honor
