SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – No. 11 Augustana softball will head out for its final road trip of the regular season with a chance at the out-right conference title in a 12 p.m. Saturday doubleheader against Minnesota State.

ABOUT THE MAVERICKS
Minnesota State faced one conference doubleheader last weekend, splitting with Wayne State (6-7 and 9-3) to move to 35-15 overall this season and 19-5 in conference play.
 
Marina Carter is batting at .372 with her 17 stolen bases as Maddie Helin has hammered seven homeruns. Gianna Lara has collected 36 RBI alongside 13 doubles while Carly Kimmes has logged 23 stolen bases and 29 walks drawn.
 
In the circle, Brianne Stone leads with a 1.88 ERA and an 11-5 record in her 19 appearances. She's totaled 68 strikeouts through 93.1 innings pitched and has accrued four complete games. ABOUT THE VIKINGS
Following sweeps of Concordia-St. Paul (6-2 and 8-0) and Winona State (2-1 and 2-0) on home turf last weekend, the Vikings are 41-9 overall and 23-3 in conference play.
 
Desi Cuevas holds a .389 batting average with 61 hits to go with her 41 RBI, 19 stolen bases and 11 homeruns. Liz Dierks is right behind with a .344 average and 43 hits as Andrea Cain holds a slash line of .342/.454/.671 while adding in 52 hits, 31 RBI, 27 walks, 14 doubles and eight homers.
 
In 167.2 innings of work, Grace Glanzer has collected 190 strikeouts while holding opponents to a .198 batting average. She's 20-6 in her 26 appearances and maintains a 1.25 ERA—which leads the NSIC—and an .88 WHIP. Lexi Lander is 18-3 on the season in 24 appearances, striking out 126 batters in 122.0 innings with an ERA of 1.32 and opponent batting average of .204.
 
LOOKING AHEAD
Augustana sets its sights on the NSIC Softball Championships, which will be hosted on home turf at Bowden Field. Action will kick off on Wednesday, April 30 and last through Saturday, May 3.
