TEMPE, Ariz. – On Tuesday morning, Henry Dornbusch of Augustana men's tennis was named the 2025 ITA Division II Men's Most Improved Player. Dornbusch compiled an 18-2 record from Augustana's No. 1 singles position with six ranked wins, including three over top 25 opponents. 

"Henry steadily improved every year while at Augustana and this past season he made even bigger strides. He had arguably the best individual season in Augustana men's tennis history, playing from the number one position against very strong competition. I'm extremely proud of what he accomplished while at Augustana, and this is a well-earned award for Big Hen!" said head coach Marc Kurtz. 

Dornbusch was named a Singles First Team All-MIAA honoree and a Doubles Second Team All-MIAA award winner with partner Conrad Koch. 

He was most recently named CSC Academic All-District. 

Dornbusch is ranked 15th in the nation for singles play and 28th in the nation for doubles play with Koch. In doubles play, Dornbusch and Koch secured a win over the No. 1 doubles team in the nation. 

Throughout his senior season, Dornbusch helped lead the Vikings to a 9-8 record that included the men's team's first conference win over Nebraska Kearney by a score of 4-3.
