SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The No. 15 Augustana hockey team continues conference action this weekend as it hosts Ferris State on Friday and Saturday.

Augustana will have a slew of promotional events this weekend. On Friday, Augustana hosts a country night. In Saturday's affair, the Vikings celebrate Hockey Day in South Dakota and will be doing a Navy out while giving away custom mini sticks.

Series History
Augustana and Ferris State have played a total of six times since the inaugural season in 2023-24. The Vikings hold an overall record of 2-4 against the Bulldogs. Earlier this season, Augustana split with FSU on the road. Augustana secured game one of the weekend series, 4-0, before it fell in game two, 2-0.
The Bulldogs
Ferris State is (4-20, 3-13 CCHA), riding an eight-game losing streak coming into the weekend. The Bulldogs fell to Bowling Green last weekend by scores of 3-1 and 5-1.
Offensively, Ferris State averages 2.29 goals per game and is led by Gavin Best and Josh Zary, who share the team lead with eight goals apiece. Zary anchors the power play with five goals on the man advantage, while Xavier Jean-Louis paces the Bulldogs with nine assists. In net, Ferris State has rotated between Martin Lundberg and Hobie Hedquist, combining for more than 600 saves on the year as the Bulldogs look to limit chances and capitalize on special teams opportunities.
The Vikings
Augustana (14-6-3, 8-4-2 CCHA) returns home after it swept Northern Michigan by scores of 3-0 and 2-0. The Vikings have opened up the second half of the season with a four-game winning streak.
Josh Kotai was named CCHA Goaltender of the Week for the second time this season following a dominant weekend at Northern Michigan. He recorded back-to-back shutouts for a total of 45 saves. He was recently named to the 2026 Mike Richter Award "Watch List".
Augustana has been dominant at Midco Arena this season, compiling a 9-1-3 home record and earning points in 12 of 13 games. The Vikings have averaged nearly three goals per game on home ice while holding opponents to just over two.
