SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Augustana wrestling team collected eight wins, earning bonus points in each, in a 45-9 rout over Jamestown on Saturday afternoon inside the Elmen Center.

Brandon Board kicked the day off at 125 pounds, falling behind after an early takedown before countering with an escape and a takedown to take a 4-3 lead into the second period. He opened the second on top and dominated, earning four separate four-point nearfalls to close out a tech fall in 4:20 of action, giving the Vikings a 5-0 lead. 

After falling behind 9-3, Alex Mentzer started a string of dominance to put the match out of reach. He took care of business in just 25 seconds to secure a pin and put the Vikings in front 11-9. 3 minutes and 14 seconds later, Cash Raymond earned a pin of his own to give the Vikings a 17-9 lead into the intermission. 

Kyle Boeke didn't take much time to close out his match, picking up a pin in 28 seconds before Caleb Durr recorded a third period pin at 174 pounds to put the Vikings in front 29-9. 

Josh Wagener five takedowns and four nearfall points at 184 to take a tech fall and Owen Wasley earned six takedowns, eight nearfall points and an escape to close a tech fall of his own as time expired in the second period. Sam McEnelly closed the dual with a forfeit to finish off a victory. 

The Vikings return to the Elmen Center next Saturday, hosting Sioux Falls at 7 p.m.
