LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A pair of Augustana softball players have earned NFCA All-Central Region honors with one First Team selection and one Second Team selection, officials announced Friday.

Freshman Kierra Lubovich was named to the first team after a dynamic first season. The NSIC Freshman of the year has hit .437 on the season with 76 hits, 18 doubles, 10 home runs and 59 RBI, leading Augustana offensively. She has reached base at an incredible .510 clip and has a 1.246 OPS. She has walked 27 times to just 14 strikeouts and is a perfect 6 for 6 on stolen base attempts. 

Senior Andrea Cain is an All-Region member for the second time in her storied career. The Sioux Falls, S.D., native was second on the team with a .390 average and led the team with 11 home runs. The All-NSIC First Team selection recorded a 1.155 OPS and had 78 hits while scoring 63 runs. 

The Vikings continue their run through the NCAA Regional tournament on Friday afternoon, taking on St. Cloud State in Joplin, Missouri.
