Troy Berg was named to the ABCA All-Central Region First Team while
Mariano Gomez and
Kobe Eikmeier each earned spots on the Second Team, announced Wednesday. The NSIC Pitcher of the Year has now earned honors from D2CCA and the NCBWA.
Troy Berg | Dickinson, N.D.
The senior provided stability in the middle of the order, hitting .316 with a 1.009 OPS. Berg had 18 doubles and five triples to go with 10 home runs, 54 RBI and 67 runs scored. He also stole 27 bases, the most in program history without getting caught. The righty had 19 multi-hit games and 17 multi-RBI games and also tied the program record for doubles in a game with four against Bemidji State in February.
Mariano Gomez | San Pedro Sula, Honduras
The senior lefty won the NSIC's triple crown, leading the league with a 2.40 ERA, a 7-0 record and 65 strikeouts in conference play. Overall, Gomez went 8-0 with a 4.11 ERA and 85 strikeouts in 65 2/3 innings. He led a staff that ranks first in the country with 10.0 K/9. Opponents have hit just .211 against him and he threw a no-hitter on April 9 against Winona State, striking out 10 and facing the minimum while being named NCBWA Pitcher of the Week.
Kobe Eikmeier | Elkhorn, Neb.
The NSIC Defensive Player of the Year had a standout sophomore campaign. The 2026 NSIC Tournament MVP led the team with 11 home runs while hitting .333 with a 1.018 OPS in 61 games. Eikmeier hit 20 doubles and scored 72 runs while driving in 58 and earning more free passes (33 walks and hit by pitches) than strikeouts (32). He also stole 25 bases without getting caught, the second most in program history behind Berg.
