Travis Beniak won the individual NCAA Central Region crown while leading the men's cross country team to the first team title since 1991 this past weekend.  Beniak's time of 29:57 on the 10k course earned him the individual title as well as All-Central Region honors.  The senior biology major was also recently named the Central Region athlete of the year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association and will compete with the rest of the Vikings at the NCAA Championships on Nv. 17 in Joplin, Mo.
