SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana College men's tennis finished their 2015 season with a shutout victory against Division III Bethany Lutheran College at Huether Tennis Centre on the campus of Augustana College Friday night.

Starting off with the No. 1 doubles team, Jared Hofer and Collin Noldner took the top flight with an 8-1 win. Zach Adkins and Jackson Buchanan defeated Carter Dahl and Troy Hoyord by a score of 8-2 at the No. 2 doubles.

Finishing the doubles sweep, Reed Ritterbusch and Brock Baade closed the door for the Vikings with an 8-1 victory at the No. 3 doubles match. Augustana entered singles competition with a 3-0 lead over Bethany Lutheran.
 
Hofer opened the singles play for the Vikings with a 6-2, 6-0 win at the top singles spot. Noldner recorded a win at No. 2 singles by a 6-3, 6-3 margin and Adkins took the No. 3 singles match in straight-sets 6-0, 6-0 over Carter Dahl.
 
Buchanan remained at the No. 4 singles spot, winning 6-0, 6-1 over Troy Hoyord. At No. 5 singles spot, Mark DeSpiegler battled against Jason Buechler winning by a 6-2, 6-1 score.

Completing the singles sweep, Colan Surratt cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win at the No. 6 singles spot.

Augustana finished their season with an 8-8 record. The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference does not sponsor men's tennis.
