Marc Kurtz. "She advanced to the finals in singles and was battling through cramping," Kurtz said. "But she continued to fight and gave it everything that she had. She never gave up and it's one of the proudest moments in my coaching career."
The Vikings had an impressive tournament with multiple players earning victories on the weekend. Zach and
Charlie Adkins and
Logan Barr earned singles victories during the tournament on the men's side.
On the women's side Staniszewska led the charge with a finals appearance and freshmen
Taylor Jackson earned a victory in singles play, as well. The doubles duo of Staniszewska and Jackson was also successful advancing to the semifinals in the doubles bracket.
"This was a great tournament for both of our teams and a great experience for the freshman on our teams," coach Kurtz stated. "This tournament showed our players what the level of competition is like in our region and it highlighted what we need to work on this winter."
