Vikings Back In Action At The Elmen Center Thursday

Women's Basketball takes on Dakota State

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Following a 3-0 start to the season, the Augustana women's basketball is back in action on Thursday for  their second and final home game of the week. The Vikings return to the jump circle inside the Elmen at 7 p.m. to take on the Trojans of Dakota State.

The Trojans of Dakota State travel to the Elmen Center from Madison, S.D. at 1-5 on the year. DSU recently captured their first win of the season when they defeated Trinity Bible.

The Vikings, who are still undefeated, most recently picked up a win  on Monday night. Their third victory of the season came against the Mount Marty Lancers as the Vikings won 87-61. Lynsey Prosser and Abby Hora had a game-high 15 points..

The Vikings have had a stellar season thus far, with a majority of their  season highs coming from the most recent game vs. Mount Marty. The 87 points the Vikings scored was their most of the season, and  the 18 dimes dropped, 11 steals, and six blocked shots were also season highs.

The Vikings are led by Prosser, who is scoring 13.7 points per game. Shelby Selland leads the team with 8.7 rebounds per game.

Dakota State comes into this game at 1-5 on the season, their 90-35 win over Trinity Bible is their first of the season. The Lady T's started out dropping their first four contests of their season and come into the game averaging 64.2 points per game and ranking 33rd in NAIA Division II in total blocks with 2.8 per game.

The Lady T's come in ranked in NAIA Division II in a variety of categories, 46th in three pointers made per game, 47th in blocks per game (2.8) and 48th in steals per game (10.4).

All-time, the Vikings lead 10-3 vs. Dakota State, all time. The Vikings most recent win came in Monday, when Prosser and Hora scored 15 points apiece.
