BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- For the second straight week and the second time this season, Augustana women's basketball center
Shelby Selland has been named NSIC South Player of the Week. The award marks Sellands third-career Player of the Week honors.
Over a two-game homestand, Selland averaged an NSIC-best 25 points, 9.5 rebounds and shot  71.4% from the field (20-of-28). The 6'2" senior helped lead Augustana to a pair of wins over Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State, while also extending the Vikings win streak to seven games.
On Saturday vs. Minnesota Crookston, the senior scored a career-high 27 points to go along with a season-high 14 rebounds in the 86-54 victory. Selland also dished out three assists and recorded two blocked shots.
When the Vikings hit the hardwood on Sunday vs. Bemidji State, the Letcher, S.D. native picked up where she left off. Selland racked up 23 points, grabbed five boards, and tallied two steals n in the 97-48 win over BSU.
On the season, Selland leads the team with 15.2 points per game, 7 rebounds per game, and averages 1.4 blocks per game. Selland sits top-10 in the NSIC in both points and rebounds.
Augustana now returns to the Elmen Center on Wednesday for their final non-conference matchup vs. Peru State with a tip-off time set for 5:30 p.m.
