SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Augustana cross country/track and field head coach
Tracy Hellman announced that nine student-athletes have signed their National Letters of Intent during the late signing period and will continue their athletic and academic careers at Augustana in 2018-19. The nine new signees join the previous 10 who signed during the early signing period in November.
Here's what Hellman had to say about his class : "We're extremely excited for this group of athletes to join the Augustana family and our 2018 recruiting class. We feel that they bring a strong combination of quality and depth, and that each will make an immediate impact on the program."
Haley Bender (Waconia, Minn.), Mariah Haight (Wausau, Wis.), Delaney Leber (Vale, S.D.), Kaitlyn Mulder (Sioux City, Iowa), Jacob Gray (Shoreview, Minn.), Bonheur Mvuyekure (Sioux Falls, S.D.), Jake Paron (Two Harbors, Minn.), Matthew Toso (Canton, S.D.) and Tyl Woelber (Pipestone, Minn.) all signed their letters of intent on Wednesday to join the Augustana XC/TF 2018-19 signing class.
Augustana's early signees were: Kaly Banks (Cannon Falls, Minn.), Patty Jo English (Elko, Minn.), Julia Lee (York, Neb.), Megan Means (Norfolk, Neb.), Callin Naddy (Fort Collins, Colo.), Cait Savey (Beresford, S.D.), Haylee Waterfall (Brandon, S.D.), Kray Person (Burke, S.D.), Josh Schumacher (Rapid City, S.D.) and Matt Steiger (La Crescent, Minn.).
The first day of the late signing period for collegiate cross country/track and field programs was Wednesday, April 11.
