SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Augustana swim team gets set to host its first dual of the season when it welcomes UMary on Saturday at 10 a.m. inside the Elmen Center.
The Opponent
The Marauders started off their season hosting the UMary quad dual in which they defeated Northern State 292-128 before falling to Augustana 235-189 and Sioux Falls 303-119. UMary travels to Marshall, Minnesota, on Friday before it travels south to Sioux Falls.
The Vikings
The Augustana swim team traveled to Omaha, Nebraska, to compete in the Midwest Shootout. Senior Linzie Kreizel placed fifth with a time of 1:00.50 in the 100-yard butterfly while
Kamryn Robarge placed eighth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 56.48.
Taylor Beagle finished second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:14.25 while Miller finished fourth with a time of 5:19.37.
In the relay events, the 200-yard freestyle 'A' team placed third with a time of 1:41.38. The team consisted of Kamryn Robarge, Emma Miller, Isabel Waite and
Destini Oehlertz. The 400-yard Freestyle Relay 'A' team closed things out in Omaha finishing in third place with a time of 3:42.17. The team consisted of Robarge,
Justine Stellmaker, Miller and Oehlertz.

Swimmer To Watch
Destini Oehlertz started things off for the Vikings earning first-place honors with a 1:57.17 time in the 200-yard freestyle at the Midwest Shootout. Oehlertz picked up her second first-place honor of the meet with a 59.44 time in the 100-yard backstroke. The senior earned NSIC Swimmer of the Week for her performance at the Midwest Shootout. Oehlertz is the first Viking to earn NSIC Swimmer of the Week in program history.
