BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- Coming off an opening round win in the NSIC tournament, the Augustana women's basketball team can add the league Freshman of the Year, a First Team selection, Second Team selection, and All-Defensive pick to their already impressive resume.

In her first year on the court, but second as a Viking, Vishe' Rabb was named NSIC Freshman of the Year by the NSIC. The Springfield, Minn. native averaged 11 points per game through 22 conference games while grabbing nearly four rebounds per contest.

Playing in all 22 games, the redshirt found her role in the starting line up for the last 13 contests. Rabb, a 5-9 guard for the Vikings went 44-of-59 (74.6%) from the charity stripe, 20-of-58 (34.5%) from beyond the arc, and an impressive 89-of-198 (44.9%) from the field throughout the conference season.

Shelby Selland, a four-year standout, was named to the All-NSIC First Team. Selland found herself sidelined due to injury in early January, but with hard work and determination got back in the starting lineup in early February. The senior from Letcher, S.D. is dropping nearly 14 points per game while grabbing a team-high in rebounds at just under six per game.

Selland has garnered NSIC South Player of the Week three times this season and four in her career in navy and yellow. Just a season ago, Selland was named to the All-NSIC Second Team.

Alongside Rabb and Selland, Lynsey Prosser was named All-NSIC Second Team. The South Dakota native leads the Vikings offense in scoring, tallying nearly 14 points per game. The senior also leads the scorebook dishing out 3.5 assists.

Last night,  Prosser has dropped a career-high 27 points in a win over Northern State, her previous high was 26. The first time she tallied 26 points was on the road at Minnesota State earlier this month and more recently against Southwest Minnesota State on Feb. 23 in the Elmen Center.

Hana Metoxen, the "glove" defender as coach Krauth would call her, has been named to the NSIC All-Defensive team. The junior has started in all 32 games for the Vikings this season, grabbing 39 steals to lead the Vikings defense. Metoxen, a 5-11 guard, causes havoc to the opposing team's offense. In addition, her assist to turnover ratio leads the Vikings at 2.2 per game, dishing out 52 assists in 32 games this season.

The Vikings now look to continue to make noise and make a run throughout the NSIC tournament. The squad takes on Minnesota Duluth on Saturday at 8:00 p.m.
