BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- Leading all Northern Sun Conference freshman in nearly every offensive category, Viking outfielder
Mary Pardo is now the NSIC the Freshman of the Year. Nine other Vikings were also honored by the conference, including six first-team selections, three second-team picks, and two gold glove winners.
Maggie Kadrlik, who led the NSIC with a .528 batting average, 9 doubles, and 1.111 slugging percentage, was a finalist for Player of the Year.

Augustana Softball All-Conference (1st team):
UT, Maggie Kadrlik (Sr., 5-6, Inver Grove Heights, Minn., Simley HS)
Behind a historic senior season, Kadrlik is a 2019 first team all-NSIC selection. Playing both catcher and designated player, Kadrlik started in 25 conference games this year. Kadrlik missed five NSIC games due to a minor injury, but still managed to lead the conference in batting average (.528) and slugging percentage (1.111). In conference-only action, Kadrlik is second in the league with 11 home runs, 9 doubles, 34 RBI and a .585 on-base percentage. Maggie also made just four errors in 190 chances for a .979 fielding percentage.
Overall, Kadrlik's senior campaign goes down as one of the best in Viking program history. The Minnesota native stands second all-time in slugging percentage at .890. Her overall on-base percentage of .521 and batting average of .459 rank top-10 in Augustana history. Kadrlik leads the Vikings and NSIC with 14 home runs and 60 RBI overall this season. Kadrlik is a now a three-time all-conference selection.
2B, Samantha Eisenreich (Sr., 5-6, St. Cloud, Minn., Tech HS)
Playing and starting all 30 conference games at second base,
Samantha Eisenreich has become a staple of Augustana softball. The senior ranked 15th in the conference in both batting and slugging, hitting .413 and slugging .685. Eisenreich found her stride in the middle of the year, contributing five straight games with two or more RBI. In NSIC action, Eisenreich finished with 10 doubles, 5 home runs, and 25 RBI. Reliable in the field, Eisenreich finished as one of the best fielders in the league with a .981 field percentage. Â
C, Shannon Petersen (Sr., 5-3, Edina, Minn., Edina HS)
Now a four-time All-NSIC first team selection, Petersen ends her career as one of best players to ever step on the diamond in the Northern Sun Conference. Petersen played in all 30 conference games this season, finishing with 37 hits (.385 average), 32 RBI and 7 home runs. Petersen ranks top-10 in the league in slugging percentage (.688) and RBI. Overall, Petersen has clubbed 11 home runs, which moved her into second all-time in Viking history. The Minnesota native is also second on the team with 56 RBI and a .667 slugging percentage.Â
P/U, Ashley Mickschl (So. 5-7, Woodbury, Minn., Woodbury HS)
The reigning NSIC Freshman of the Year, Mickschl took another step forward this season. Just a sophomore, Mickschl finished third in the NSIC with 12 wins. Mickschl made 15 starts in NSIC action, pitching nine complete games and a total of 84 innings. The Minnesota native allowed 23 runs and ranks in the top-10 in the conference with a 1.91 ERA. From the dish, Ashley smacked five doubles, two triples, and four home runs. She slugged .505 and finished 21st with 24 RBI this season. Overall, Ashley is 21-5 this season with a 1.73. She has 43 RBI while hitting .317. Also named an NSIC gold glove selection, Mickschl made just one error in 60 chances for a .984 fielding percentage.
OF, Kara Mcdougall (Jr. 5-3, Brookings, S.D., Brookings HS)
One of the quickest players in the league, Kara earns her first All-NSIC honors. McDougall is 5th in the NSIC with 16 stolen bases and 4th in batting average at .473. The Brookings native crushed two home runs and slugged .568 from the plate. Mcdougall played in all 30 conference games for the Vikings, contributing just four errors all season. Overall, Kara is batting .437 this season with 16 RBI and 45 total bases. Mcdougall has just six strikeouts in 87 at-bats and a .454 on-base percentage.Â
P, Amber Elliott (So., 5-8, Ramsey, Minn., Anoka HS)
Standing 4th in the NSIC in strikeouts with 81,
Amber Elliott earns her first-career All-NSIC honor. The sophomore righty was impressive in all 14 starts, racking up a 10-1 record and a 1.67 ERA. Elliott had multiple double-digit strikeout performances, including a career-high 13 strikeouts in one of her first conference starts. Overall, Elliott pitched 63 innings with two complete games and one shutout for the Vikings.Â
Augustana Softball All-Conference (2nd team):
OF, Mary Pardo (Sr., 5-7, Andover, Minn., Blaine HS)
One of the most impressive freshman seasons in Augustana history,
Mary Pardo earns the title of NSIC Freshman of the Year. The honor marks the second straight for Augustana, as Mickschl was named Freshman of the Year in 2018. Playing and starting all 30 conference games, Pardo finished the year with nine home runs, four doubles, and 27 RBI. Pardo also led the NSIC with four triple and was ninth overall with a .750 slugging percentage. Pardo finished with 36 hits in conference play for a .360 average.Â
Also named a gold glove winner, the right fielder made just one error in 30 NSIC games. Pardo collected 38 putouts, five assists, and a .977 fielding percentage. Overall this year, the Minnesota native finishes the year with 13 home runs, which is third in the NSIC. She also ranked top-10 in RBI (37) slugging percentage (.685) and runs scored (55).Â
3B, Maggie Dunnett (Sr., 5-6, Lakeville, Minn., Lakeville HS)
Playing and starting in all 30 conference games,
Maggie Dunnett established herself as one of the league's premier infielders. She finished the NSIC season 4th-best in slugging percentage at .787. The senior crushed six doubles and eight home runs and finishes the regular-season with 30 conference RBI. Dunnett hit .404 from the plate and had just nine strikeouts in 89 at-bats. A two-time all-academic selection, this is Dunnett's first All-NSIC selection.
OF, Kendall Cornick (Jr., 5-8, Mason City, Iowa, Mason City HS)
Standing top-five in numerous offensive categories,
Kendall Cornick earns her first All-NSIC selection. The speedster stands second in the league in runs scored with 36 this season and is top-10 nationally with over 1 run scored per game. Cornick hit .427 in conference play and finished the regular season with a .519 NSIC on-base percentage, which ranks 5th in the league. In 30 conference games, Cornick drove in 14 runs and made just on error.
P, Olivia Wolters (Jr., 5-10, Elk River, Minn., Elk River HS)
A perfect 4-0 record in conference play, Wolters was nearly unhittable this season in NSIC action. The Junior leads the conference in opponent batting average at .158 and allowed just two home runs in 146 batters faced. Wolters appeared in 19 conference games, racking up 40.2 innings and allowing just nine. Wolters' 1.55 NSIC-ERA ranks second in the league.Â
Augustana now turns their attention to the NSIC tournament, which takes place May 2-4 at RYFSA Complex in Rochester, Minnesota. Augustana is the No. 2 seed in the tournament and starts play on Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m.Â
