ST. PAUL, Minn. - The 2019 D2CCA NCAA Division II Baseball All-Central Region First and Second Teams have been announced as voted upon by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) from the region. Augustana baseball saw three student-athletes awarded with first or second team honors, while Max Steffens was named the Central Region Pitcher of the Year. 

First team honors for the Vikings were earned by Jordan Barth at the Utility position as the sophomore started 21 games at first base and 13 at third base. Barth put up a .436 batting average while knocking eight home runs and driving in 40 RBI. Steffens earned first team honors with a to a 9-0 record in 13 starts, with 14 appearances, striking out 64 across 89.1 innings while issuing just 10 walks.

JT Mix earned second team honors at second base after batting .384 over the course of 51 games. Mix hit 11 doubles and had 32 RBI with 13 stolen bases on the year. Mix also put up a fielding percentage of .961.

The Central Region consists of 39 baseball teams from the Northern Sun (15 teams), Mid-America (12 teams) and Great American (12 teams) conferences. In all, 19 teams were represented with eight teams gaining multiple selections.
