SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The defending NSIC Champion Augustana University Baseball team has announced its dates for their Fall Baseball League and their Baseball Academy.

About the Fall League

The 10th annual Augustana Baseball Fall League will take place over the course of five Sundays - Sept. 8, 15, 22, 29 and Oct. 6. The purpose of the Fall Baseball League is to give athletes the opportunity to continue their development in baseball while receiving instruction during games from coaches and players from the Augustana Baseball Team.

There will be four different leagues that kids can sign up for: two youth leagues (one for 3rd and 4th graders and one for fifth and sixth graders), a junior league for 7th through 9th graders, and a high school league for 10th through 12th graders. The league is for all skill levels and the youth leagues will receive instruction prior to their games each week. Games will take place at Covell Lake Park, Renner Ball Park, and Ronken Field at Karras Park and all teams will be coached by current Augustana Baseball players. About the Baseball Academy

The Vikings are also hosting a Fall Academy that will start on Oct. 14 and will go on for eight weeks, ending on Dec. 3. Sessions will be one hour in length and each player will have one session per week. Athletes will be instructed in hitting and pitching in a small group setting. The Fall Academy is for all ages (7-18) and will be limited to 12-15 players per session.

Sessions will take place on a Sunday or Monday (you pick the day) and will start anywhere from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The Fall Academy takes place at the Augustana Baseball indoor facility on the corner of 37th and Lake. Take advantage of excellent instruction, with a great player to instructor ratio, at an affordable price. 

The academy usually fills up each year so sign up early to secure your spot. Signing up for both the Fall League and Fall Academy will qualify you for a 10 percent discount. The registration link above contains more information about the academy as well.
