SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Seven-time All-American and former Augustana student-athlete
Tom Karbo will compete in the 2019 International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Track and Field Championships this week in Doha, Qatar.
Karbo, who will represent team Norway, is competing in the 3000-meter Steeplechase. The prelims are set to start Tuesday, Oct. 1 with the finals set for Friday, Oct. 4.
A native of Stord, Norway, Karbo ran for Augustana from 2010-13 and ended his career as one of the most decorated student-athletes in school history. The school record holder in 5000 meters and 3000 Steeplechase, Karbo is a seven-time DII All-American.
A three-time first-team All-NSIC selection, Karbo earned All-America honors at the 2013 NCAA Cross Country championship, placing 11th (10k, 30:38.8) overall.
World Track and Field Championships coverage
